Cemetery Man is a quirky, fun film. I hadn’t realized that it was based on an Italian comic book series. The film is gory, funny, and a tad absurd. I was expecting a basic zombie film but what I got was so much more. And the story went in several ways I didn't anticipate. And, I like that.

I recommend this film if you are interested in unique story telling in a somewhat avant-garde way.

Visually, this is quite stunning. Its story about the life and death of a renowned Japanese author highlights the futility of wanting to return to the past, as if that’s ever possible. The past is neither superior nor inferior to the present. It was merely different.

I just watched the recently restored blu-ray from Radiance Films and was really wowed by it! It’s the director’s cut. He’s created a very weird, very mysterious, and very entertaining film! It has vivid and detailed sets & costumes, which really pulled me into the story. I highly recommend it.
