Blender is licensed under the GNU GPL, which means it must be kept free and open-source in perpetuity. They cannot get one over on you even if they wanted to!
Most newcomers will find Blender's 2D animation workflow inferior to Adobe Animate. The transition will be frustrating. But you have to do it anyway because the Blender Foundation loves you whereas Adobe loves its shareholders
