Drop something YELLOW!
Growing up in the 80s Saturday afternoon was always football time.
With fixtures spread out all the time now for TV and such itβs a nice nostalgic treat to spend Saturday afternoon with another pre-season Swedish cup game.
Same programs, different masters.
Of course! Hope you find a cool new project and team :)
Steven is awesome and would make a great addition to any team.
Caught the moon rising low over the Stockholm skyline as I left the office this evening.
Picture doesnβt quite do it justice, but there is always a cool scale thing going on when it hangs around the towers like that.
Having had no energy for, well, pretty much anything, while I've been recovering from the recent bout of Covid, it was nice today to get to sit down and just explore the new WoW Expansion. I'd consciously avoided beta and previews so I get to go in blind.
The rework of Silvermoon is gorgeous start.
Yes, I remember when they did that. (Also because as a small kid I *adored* Monkey Magic)
Oh my. The animation in the new Gorillaz video is so damned good. I'd watch a movie in that style any day if they chose to make one. (Honestly, given their output down the years I'd probably enjoy a movie they chose to make regardless of which style they animated it in)
Been a crap week recovering from whatever contagion I picked up in Vegas. So was glad to be able to venture out this evening.
First pilgrimage of the year to the stadium for some pre-season Swedish cup action
Got to shake hands with Jesse Jackson back in 2005, At DragonCon of all places. It was immediately post Hurricane Katrina and he was in Atlanta fundraising for relief iirc. Was passing through the same hotel complex downtown. Even when surrounded by security he still made time for folks.
RIP
Heh, yes, as AAA teams moved from dozens, to hundreds, to thousands of developers, keeping everything aligned and approved at that scale is usually the challenge.
Let alone once feedback and change has to be managed into the equation!
Sometimes, but more sometimes it's because one part of the big machine went ahead on a thing, but then when it's reviewed it's not aligned with another part (or parts), and something has to be reworked or realigned.
Then people fear that, so processes slow down to check for it more.
Reasons are myriad, and often unique to each AAA studio's culture. Some underlying challenges may be similar, but you'll find the 'pipeline' problems in different places at different studios.
In my experience it's rarely the actual production of content. It's the review and alignment of intent.
Lots of choices for blood red down the years, but I think my favorite project were these blood ghost Nighthaunts.
Flying for thirteen hours with congested sinuses is NOT recommended π head feels kinda like what a punching bag must feel like.
I know people like to knock CDG and London Heathrow, but the transit experience at JFK is also perfectly designed frustration if you have to switch terminals.
Halfway back though!
I feel like old infamous Sam Darnold micβd up quote applies to Drake Maye tonight. Seattleβs defense has broken him.

I kind of feel bad for New Englands defense. They are going toe to toe with Seattleβs, but this might be the ugliest offensive performance in modern SB history so far.
I mean, back to back halftime shows with things to say about modern America is worth acknowledging. At least trying to live up to their self professed βAmericaβs Gameβ moniker.
Gotta say, in the current political landscape I was not expecting the NFL of all institutions to be the ones platforming a demonstration of the true strength of Americaβs genuine diversity.
I fear Iβve graduated from a casual football fan to an actual budding aficionado, as Iβm genuinely enjoying the tactical defensive battle on this one.

Breakfast comfort food to start the visit to Vegas off.
Truffle tater tots and a perfect sausage and egg sandwich with honey mustard aioli. Iβm easy to please sometimes π
Twenty five hours after leaving home yesterday, finally made it to Vegas. Now to crash and sleep hard. Maybe get to see actual sunshine tomorrow βοΈβοΈ
Airport again. Long, loooong, day of travel ahead as I head to Las Vegas this week. 15 hours on planes across three legs and a 5 hour layover in LA to come. π
It's weird. Whenever I see anyone talking about any Final Fantasy game I instantly think of the mentioned entry in terms of 'oh, that is my <X> favorite in the series'
I don't do this with any other franchise.
Just the FF games, *every* time. No idea why.
(XII is my third favorite)
Spent some time with TR-49 this evening. Hasn't quite 'clicked' for me yet.
The Audio production is great and the initial narrative thread intriguing, but I'm struggling a bit to find the assumed deduction game itself so far. Very much randomly clicking so far.
Will give it a little more time.
Stockholm waterfront all winter snow still. βοΈπ¨οΈβοΈ
These Necrons are so rusted that they almost blend in with the black sand of their ancient homeworld.
Da Glo Boyz only WAAAGH in day-glo colors!
