A 24 hr prediction chart is shown. You will see the MUF frequencies for the day, which is typically a good choice, but select the next lower band to see what that looks like too. The time scale is 0000-2400 UTC.
The prediction depends on the sunspot numbers, so check for a new prediction every day.
Once the map is drawn, select "MUF" at the top of the screen. Is your location covered by one of the band colors? That band has propagation to Bouvet now your area now!
Next, click on your location on the map and select "show prediction" at the top of the map. Make sure "MUF" is still selected.

The Clarity has a smallish tank and I can't get even $20 into it at these prices. Since it is a plugin, I can get well over 150 mpg on one tank of gas.
It's not quite to $3 here in rural Minnesota. I thought yesterday would be a good day to fill all the vehicles as it wouldn't be less any time soon. I paid $2.779. The last time at the same station it was 2.619. The main vehicle is a plugin Honda Clarity and which may go many weeks until next fill.
SW Minnesota is in the midst of another snow storm the NWS failed to predict. A lot of misses this year, and it can be dangerous. Has something changed at NWS? They used to give us a heads up days ahead.

A new starting page has been created for the HF+ propagation map. Like the VHF page released earlier, it explains the purpose of the site and explains what it does. A new features allows users to set the perspective by providing a callsign.

The propagation maps recently added a heart icon for donations that appears when the funding level falls below 100%. The heart becomes more red as the funding level falls.
When the level is below 50% a donation dialog will pop up about once a day for each user.

This feature has been changed from the 'r' key to 'c' to correspond with the menu that pops up and offers a "connected" option.

That trips me up too sometimes. The underlying map relies on OpenLayers interface and the OpenSteetMap. They are both open source and free to use. OpenLayers would support other maps if one can be found that is stable and well supported. I haven't found one.

An update to the VHF propagation map has been uploaded. It has a number of fixes including better representation of activity that is adjacent to the international dateline, particularly for New Zealand.

Is it still useful to have the alt/option-click method, or does this replace it completely?
Another iteration of the path feature was uploaded today:
• The "r" key clears all labels; tapping "r" any time has the same effect.
• No new labels appear as long as the "r" key is held down.
• Shorter hops are not displayed, to reduce clutter.
• The search for connected paths has been expanded.

Another followup to this — if you hold down the "r" (for recursive) key and select a footprint, it will expand to all the connected paths. To reduce clutter station callsigns are omitted.
You may need to refresh your browser to pick up the change.
The update has been uploaded. The map will self-correct over time or clicking on footprints with incorrect paths will load the corrected data. Thanks for helping to troubleshoot this.
The Es filtering needs more work. Right now it is triggered when there are at least three intersecting paths of 1750+ km from 6 distinct stations. Once that is met, any path of 500+ km in the vicinity is accepted. Something in there needs to be tightened up.
I think I found the problem. I'll do some testing and upload it soon if everything looks normal again. I thought I saw an optimization opportunity, but that just broke things in a mirror image way. I've documented that area better!
