First prototype for the engine I wanted to build a quick prototype to validate how a Visual Novel engine could be built with web technologies. I knew that for graphics could be built with html DOM, but I didn't want to do that and was looking for something better and more specific for the purpose. That's how I found out about PixiJS I quickly built a proof of concept using PixiJS. After a couple of days (with help of ChatGPT as well) I created this simple prototype where you can click and move to the next dialogue. It had sounds, background, character. It worked.

So, let's start with the most immediately relevant thing. Streams will probably be back Soon™ once I feel confident I'll be able to, through my monitoring. Once they're back, I'm planning on finishing SMT and seeing what happens from there. The idea is SMT > FF6BNW. However long it takes to reach about my birthday. If my net is still bad, expect a hiatus until my birthday. If SMT wraps up *super* quick, I'll add more stuff to the list. Which brings us to the big one. My birthday party stream this year will likely be my last stream, indefinitely. As in, **if** I come back, sometime **way** in the future, it'll come with a rebrand and all that jazz. But effectively, this year's Birthday Party is gonna double as my farewell to regular streaming*. I will elaborate in a venting thread in detail, but this is the crux of the announcement. *In the event games run later, streams go well AND that I even am able, I'll continue streaming a bit into late April/May. So what happens after? Well, the server is gonna remain as is. I'm gonna rework the "content" part of this place to focus more around my writing and other creative projects. Other gaming stuff will be locally recorded and uploaded to YouTube, on my current "archive" channel until I feel satisfied with all the stuff I initially planned for the "phase 1/ride down". At that point, the current channel will remain up without anything new to it (unless I come back to Twitch, obviously) and function as just an archive. Probably. The "all the FF" stuff? That will either be locally recorded, or come with the rebrand waaaay in the future, maybe. But the most likely thing to happen is me podcasting my thoughts on the FFs in order from least-to-most favorite. (If anyone wants to podcast with me about FF stuff hit me up!) As for other creative projects, I actually have a ton of ideas. Other YT channels/vids/series/stories, writing stuff, etc. We'll just see what comes of things once streaming is in the rear view.
