Because I research sh!t. Apparently the original dress was created by one Thierry Mugler for the spring 1998 fashion show as part of the 'Jeu de Paume' Collection; this is an iteration for Sei specifically with side slits while the original was very flowing and made of translucent red material. Naturally, it turned heads and not in a good way for the prudish. Fast forward to 2026 when someone with an exhibitionist streak chose to bring it back for a bit during an awards show, I think it was? The Grammys. And yes, they chose to wear it, then swapped to something less provocative after prompting. Thus, we got a meme floating around now. In-Universe, I'd imagine this was yet another of Eiko's attempts to draw attention towards Gambit's shows, though it's up in the air if the Vixe wanted to wear it herself fir the advert or not. All we know is Seiril is a showy kitty and she got to it first. Though it was definitely Eiko's idea to give her daughter a slight bit more modesty, comb some fur down, the advert idea got rejected by the rest of Gambit for obvious reasons. Sei's kept the beta pictures, and many other failed adverts, in a scrapbook on one of the company vehicles.
