Yes! I really like that feature. For some reason, D’s subtitles works much better for my particular combo of ADHD and sensory processing weirdness than Q’s 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m just holding out hope these accommodations are a sign AE platforms are finally acknowledging the intersectional needs of their audience

This was my initial thought. I don’t know very much about transcription of this particular kind so I’m hoping to learn more but I have to believe there are better ways to meet the accessibility needs of listeners without compromising the work of contributors like this.

That’s my concern but I can accept the risk to my writing if they actually implemented best practice policies to improve listener accessibility. That’s kinda why I wanted to hear from target users. I value my work, but if the user experience is genuinely enhanced, I can get over my discomfies

I’d love to hear perspectives from folks with experience in using transcription to improve accessibility

So apparently Q🩷🎧 now provides text transcripts of their posted audios and as a writer, that makes me more than a little uncomfy. I’m aware of the accessibility benefits but my gut says it’s about more than that. Frankly, I’m worried about how easy it makes stealing and copying ppl’s work w/o credit

I really enjoyed whittling. With some simple moves and a basic knife, I could just sit over a trashcan and carve out simple things like little animals or more complex things like chess pieces when I was feeling perkier.
