My photography account + queer art appreciation / curation. Occasionally NSFW. Focuses include landscape photography, botanical textures, the intersection of humanity and how we experience nature. Digital. Anti-AI. Will happily remove reskeets on request

A very tall format picture, the upper half dominated by bright blue sky with some pristine white clouds on the horizon. In the center of the lower half are two squatty grain silos, and everything else around is the golden glow of dry fields and the dusty red of Montana's hillsides

Slips in a large marina, densely packed with mostly pleasure boats, continuing off into the distance.

The same photo but in black and white, bringing more attention to the contrast in the horizontal bars than the yellow against green
Invasive Sansevieria (snake plant) growing around steel fence posts. The repeating pattern is a mix of the broad yellow side veins on the snake plants long vertical sword-shaped leaves, but each leaf is also barred with alternating jagged patterns of light and dark green.

the blocks south of Redwood City station are small and numerous, so many signals! π¦ππ¦
Several seed pendulous seed pods of what I think is an American sycamore (or some cultivar), Platanus occidentalis. Their muted brown and grey tones contrast against a bright blue sky barely dusted with cirrus clouds

Image shows a large mason jar full of dying tulips sitting on a weathered wooden crate.
"Beauty is but a vain and doubtful good; a shining gloss that fadeth suddenly; a flower that dies when it begins to bud; a doubtful good, a gloss, a glass, a flower, lost, faded, broken, dead within an hour." - William Shakespeare #photography #flowerphotography #stilllifephotography #EastCoastKin

There is such a beautiful but painful witness perspective to Robert Adams work, and the expanse of humanity (and the destruction that comes with)
Diane Arbus, like what can you say that hasn't already been said? Anyone who mentions her as an inspiration, I know they have exquisite taste
Chris McCaw has inspired me to roll with the happy mistakes and I really want to see his work in person one day
I'll throw out that first and foremost I love John Baldessari's humor and intentional juxtaposing.
Anyone who feels like sharing, I would love to know some of your favorite photographers and graphic artists. Don't even have to be the famous ones, tag your friends!
As I wrap up my 30's, rediscovering amateur photography has really rekindled my appreciation for the world despite so much going on.

The photograph captures a series of rolling hills shrouded in a soft, ethereal mist. The sky transitions from a pale lavender at the top to a deeper blue closer to the horizon, suggesting dusk. The hills in the foreground are covered in vibrant green grass, while those in the distance fade into shades of blue and gray due to atmospheric perspective. A winding road cuts through the green hillside, partially obscured by the low-lying fog, adding a sense of depth to the scene. The overall mood is tranquil and dreamlike, emphasizing the natural beauty of the mountainous terrain.
I miss the rolling hills of Asturia.

One of my office plants, a string of dolphins (Senecio peregrinus), growing out and over its pot. The relatively close picture parallels the fuzzy out of focus cellular tower in the background, and the slope of the plants general stem heights are reflected by a support beam going diagonally across the frame, with no close beginning or end point and interrupting the grey overcast sky
