Por favor, no difundáis cosas como que no hay traductores suficientes para subtitular todos los vídeos que se suben a internet. Lo que no hay es ganas de pagar el trabajo. Somos decenas de miles de personas o más y otras tantas pagando pastizales para formarse profesionalmente para hacerlo.

Netflix - please stop minimising the end credits of movies to suggest something else. Let viewers enjoy the soundtrack and see the cast and crew that worked on the film. We'll exit it ourselves when ready to.

Al traducir literatura, el texto no solo nos pasa por la mente. Nos pasa por el cuerpo, por el alma, por lo que sabemos de nosotros y por lo que ni sospechamos. El texto nos atraviesa y sale transformado, aunque quieran hacer de cuenta que es el mismo y que quien tradujo nunca estuvo ahí.

#SubtitlersInTheCredits are an author's right, but also an audience right: they deserve to know when the content they enjoy is crafted by humans.

Out of thousands of minutes and words translated and QCed for streaming platforms, video games, and webcomics platforms, these are the only titles I can mention (so far) due to NDAs and lack of crediting. We have to keep voicing this issue until we see change! 💪

As translators, we are often overlooked and not properly credited for our work. So let's celebrate and commend those who acknowledge and give our work the recognition it deserves. 👏

Why Machine Translating Japanese Media is a BAD Idea Machine translating Japanese Media is a very, very bad idea and I wouldn't trust companies that push MT on their translators.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, machine translation should not be used for creative work.
