Thirst traps soundtracked by probably the world's most heartbreaking song is sending me west
Man takes a mirror selfie in a hotel room wearing black jeans, a purple tshirt and a blue denim jacket.
She's been out for drinks on a school night, in London. X
I just saw my dog's boyfriend, a yellow labrador called Gary. Gary is so pure and excited about any and all attention that he tolerates Bailey trying to dry hump him everytime they see each other.
Razorblade Tears by S. A. Cosby
Book 11 - Razorblade Tears. A gay couple get murdered and their estranged ex con dads team up to find the people responsible. Brutal, fast paced, action packed - absolutely no subtext. Slightly underdeveloped main characters and occasional clunky prose aside, I loved this.
Teenage Roy with a terrible red fringe

Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris
Book 10. Another David Sedaris audiobook - Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls. Really funny and also occasionally has flashes of real insightfulness and emotion.
Yes I've got an audiobook and a non-fiction read on the go but I still haven't picked a new fiction book to start. The indecision of being a mood reader who doesn't always know what he's in the mood for is so annoying istg
Hard agree. I still think his second album is his most consistent body of work. Harry's House was fairly strong too - not a lot on this grabbed me much on first listen but nothing I immediately hated.
Frontier by Grace Curtis
Book 9 - Frontier by Grace Curtis. This was like a series of video game side quests building to a climate change related sci-fi plotline in the final section, and a central queer relationship that felt very tell don't show. Wanted to love, ended up distinctly whelmed.
Iβm excited too!
A bowl full of fish finger bhorta and rice
Exceeded expectations. It's somehow comforting and also like a punch in the face at the same time.
Just had my first forkful and let out an involuntary swearword because of how good it is.
She literally says in the intro to this recipe that recipes are living, evolving entities, so I'm taking this as her explicit blessing for me to be a little kitchen chaos goblin
A bottle of Green chilli sauce. A container of pink pickled onions is visible on the counter.
Disproportionately excited to be making @nigella.bsky.social's Fish Finger Bhorta for the first time.
I've used red onions rather than her stipulated "regular onions" (which I guess means white ones?) and I'm using this green chilli sauce in lieu of fresh red chillis.
A flat white in a white cup on a table next to a yellow notebook and a laptop
Had the day off work today and spent the morning at a coffee shop plotting an outline for a novel I've had percolating around my brain for a year or so. If nothing else, it felt nice to flex some creative muscles I haven't used for a little while.
Oh no I need this biblically
Other half just sent me a mortified voice note - he was a queue in the Post Office his Apple Watch decided to start playing music out loud and just blasted out "IT'S BRITNEY, BITCH" while he was surrounded by people
Watching the performance back is so funny because you can visibly see the top of BjΓΆrk's head bobbing behind RosalΓa and the choir when she's singing at the beginning.
Also this absolute masterpiece youtu.be/CLFUhty8EF4?...
She's incredible. I'd really recommend her second album El Mal Querer too if you enjoyed LUX.
Which night are you at? I'm going (solo) on the 5th.
Right but everyone knows Tame Impala is one bloke so can they be an international group?? #brits
I'm seeing RosalΓa at the O2 in May and now I'm even more hyped. #brits
BJΓRK!!!! #Brits
ROSALΓA. Singing operatic German. In Manchester. On ITV.
Werk.
Finally caught the final episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and what an utter fucking delight this show has been. I loved the Dunk and Egg novellas but this elevated the source material in a way that screen adaptations rarely do. Masterful.
Happy-Go-Lucky by David Sedaris
Book 8 - listened to Happy-Go-Lucky by David Sedaris on audiobook. So many great funny moments but also some darker content about Covid and the death of his father which made it a bit heavier than other Sedaris stuff I've read before.
