my guy, the life i live is that of a 2000s stoner comedy. big difference is that third act is just a lil sadder
This was my peak
If running away to join the circus were still a viable option in 2026, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
I'm beyond devastated.
RIP Bob Weir. It's a change, not an end.

You have to treat and internalize ICE like an occupying military force.
I never know how to advertise things so I'm just gonna vomit it out -- if you're interested in any sort of writing commissions from me, you can check out my VGen Service Here!!
I kind of reworked my prices so they're less corpo-y. So if you're a company/developer, we'd discuss that differently!
My friend gave me a rosca and started sending me memes about the baby Jesus figurine hidden in them and now my Insta algorithm thinks Iβm a 25 year old latina
thank you itβs mine too
I have an AO3 account where I've posted a couple darker, non-canon Highway Blossoms and National Park Girls fics. They're pretty intense though, so look at the tags, and read them at your own discretion.
Fellas, itβs important that in your 20s you go through at least one breakup where on the other side of it you turn into a new genre of guy
miho calling aspen to ask if she can pick up some sex mix from the store on her way home
Bro I don't even think Miho knows what sex is. She probably thinks it's a snack or some shit
if you want to support visual novel devs:
- wishlist our games on Steam
- leave reviews / ratings for them on store platforms
- tell friends about our games
- recommend them to streamers to play
- share posts on social media
- tell a developer you enjoy their work

Also, I do genuinely think we're in a soft recession. I wouldn't be surprised if non-VN indie devs have been making less in 2025.
I'm still grateful for all the support and love we get, but there's a wistfulness that comes with spending your peak creative years in a niche genre in a niche medium.
Even with all that said, I think we're still one of the bests at what we do. It's just that life gets harder as we get older.
I think we've managed to carve out a system to make it doable and profitable. But when you factor how many people get paid or get residuals in a project, you're not making enough money to buy a home or raise a family on. Not that anyone really is these days.
We talk about it a lot behind the scenes, but VNs can be a hard sell. Even when they were really peaking here in the west (close to ten years ago now!) it was hard to make it work. Been diminishing returns for a while.
I'm not too far off from 30 and wondering "what comes next?"
