The game awards like all award shows televised is a waste of time, too much politcing for something that should just be based on the merits already known (i.e. good, bad, exceptional etc..) Also, we only watch to see the trailers, and Dorito pope to loose his stuff when it goes off rails

People just want to hate for the sake of following trends, then don't actually say anything other than "oh, that thing bombed so hard." When they probably saw it, and liked it, but don't want to get the wraith of the hive mind of Internet culture. Also all the "fun" hating things with other people.
