I've seen you post these on Tumblr too, I am utterly knocked out by the boot details. Love your work!

Oof, I absolutely love how gnarly you get with this man. Love the hell out of the thorn details.
Otafest (anime con) is an absolute joy to have a table at but is TOUGH to get into- they put in a jury process for Artist Alley because of demand. I've not been able to get a table in about four years which bums me out but I understand.
If I may, I've actually done both the Calgary cons mentioned! The Calgary Expo (big one) was where I started out and I'm sorry to say went downhill fast after Fan Expo Canada bought it- table costs got higher and treatment of vendors got worse. (1)
Hell yes, harness that spite. Best of luck!
I love how you did the chess pieces, especially the knights. They always look so tricky to sculpt.
I started trying out various craft stuff that caught my interest but it was going to school for ceramic work that made me realize "holy crap. I can DO this.". So I kept doing it.
*time. Great work on the firing!
For some reason I always have a hard to me finding good examples of wood fired work. This is an excellent cup, that lovely drop of green is so pleasing.
I'm always amazed by folks who handsew markings like these ones. Props to the commitment to detail, this looks fantastic.
I sought out Martyrs, because I wanted to check out more French horror. Have not picked it up again in the years since buying it.
It's an absolutely gorgeous book, by the way. I'm so thrilled to be able to see The First True Saint up close.
A black and white book cover showing four statues with different insectile feature obscuring their faces. There are four colourful butterflies flitting about and the title says "The Other Happy Place Chapter 0".
A sideways picture of a bookmark showing a black background and a white female figure with an eyeball for a face, wrapped in red centipedes. Above the bookmark is a pin of a head profile that is half butterfly in yellow, blue and red.
I am so happy to be getting this today. If you're not following @theotherhappyplace.bsky.social please immediately do so. I wasn't expecting to get the pin! Very happy to be adding this horrible man to my pin board.
I'm just always in awe of your pottery painting skills, you do such beautiful work!
It's always the same arguments too, they're so boring. So many folks have tattoos now, they really need to relax.
I'm always so thrilled when a new episode shows up. Absolutely loved the last one.
A brown teacup with a black handle and rim and a bright blue foot There is a cartoon gentleman with a top hat, a black tuxedo and an orange bowtie and hat band. He has one finger raised.
The same brown teacup turned around. This side shows a speech bubble with the words "Good Sir." hand-lettered on it.
An example of a Dapper Cup! I makes these fine gentlemen in tophats or fezzes. This one had surface cracking unfortunately, so I drink tea out of it now.
You know, I don't think I've ever seen worse art discourse than on Tumblr.
I've seen that sentiment about habit in different forms before and it's genuinely some of the best advice I can think of. Habit really does get you through a lot when inspiration alone is flagging.
It's fine if it takes a long time to finish a piece of work, sometimes it just takes that long! You can find historical paintings that have taken literal years to make. Especially if you're making personal work, allow yourself the time and space to make it what it needs to be.
So, being a potter, the work I make can take upwards of several weeks between making it, drying it, decorating it, and firing it and that can really surprise folks when I tell them. What is surprising for me is that people don't extend this to painting and drawing as well.
Look up Just One Cookbook for it, that's an excellent recipe.
Spaghetti Napolitan. A shockingly good pasta dish considering ketchup is the basis of it.
Wow, that is horrible. Excellent work, please continue.
It's genuinely been really impressive to watch the progression on these left-handed drawings. Like every time you post one it's that little bit smoother and more fluid. Keep that progress going strong!
You're the artist who does these! I've seen these wonderful designs so much, even as someone who's not into Pokemon I've always loved them. Personal favourite is the kotatsu cyndaquil.
I've never tried doing a transfer with underglaze, I love your results! I'll need to try this for my own stuff at some point.
Ah, I love it! This is my favourite concept from @slimyswampghost.bsky.social and it's so cool to see other folks also doing art of it.
I literally saw this happening on a post yesterday in response to someone talking about enjoying the new Silent Hill. Not only telling OP how awful they themselves found it, but also going to great lengths to also tell OTHER PEOPLE IN THE RESPONSES how much they hated the game. It was ridiculous.
An ancient pottery vessel in the general shape of a lobster. It is dark green, has tiny claws and looks kind of angry
Also, here's my favourite example. It's a Nazca lobster vessel
