def also check out the rage against the machine cover, too. it's excellent.
our daughter has begun taking the entire edge off of uncrustables, setting it to the side, and then eating the rest. itβs unreal. these are UNCRUSTABLES!!! wtf. how can you take the crust off of something that is already expressly uncrusted.i am shook tbh.

submitted for your approval β¦ the most kickass 10,000 maniacs song of all time. m.youtube.com/watch?v=AdAX...
I feel very lucky that I got to talk about my Homeland-Security-mass-detention-Asian-American book on The Daily Show
It seems that Kaleb Horton has passed away. A devastating loss. One of the best writers of this generation. Kaleb was a friend for ten years and in all our conversations I was trying to convince him how good he was, something he seemed to know but also never fully believe. I am going to go cry now.
no. 1 ladiesβ detective agency.
This song still sounds like the future, one we could've easily had but was taken away from us without our permission. Piped in from a different, better dimension. An existential plane we were on and from which, all the sudden, without warning, we were removed.
possibly the most bay area bread imaginable
buck em down

itβs such a bittersweetβ¦ chocolate loafβ¦ this sliiiiiiice
I think there are many problems in media that can be traced back to a death or drought of sincerity in mass media, a fear of discussing love or solidarity, or unabashedly loving your friends. Itβs βvulnerableβ if you talk about feeling bad or sad. Doesnβt feel vulnerable to me, I feel stronger now
i suspect itβs probably the last go round for this off day at our daughterβs school. told her to live it up
and played some public enemy. etc etc.
amen.
lol our kidβs school has the most berkeley school lunch imaginable today.

i had two years of journalism class at my (crummy) pgh-area high school. it was EVERYTHING to me. it featured the best, most dedicated/caring teacher iβd ever learned from. i learned and wrote a ton. feel massively fortunate to have had that experience. but for that, no way i make a living writing.

couldn't agree more! every time our daughter has tried to do the "skip intro" option on shows I'm ALWAYS like, "you know ... a bunch of people worked really, really hard on that opening sequence. like it took hundreds of hours. we should honor that work." and it WORKS!!! she's the one saying it now.
tsunami warning in the bay area? what is this?
i challenge anyone to beat this in the category of: most insane airbnb wifi passwords. iβm looking at this little sign, and i cannot believe this is real. and yet β¦ i typed it in, and the wifi works now.
Y'all, we need to come up with something better than "how are you?" for the foreseeable future. Because I know that's just standard chit chat, but also, it's really hard for me to say anything other than "aside from the all consuming existential dread, fine I guess" and no one wants to hear that.
i swear they really liked the book/reading. my new theory: maya is just trolling me.
