Side by side color comparison of a Swamp Thing page

Tatjana Wood (right page) was a storyteller who understood the eagle was the top of Sunderland’s globe (established on an earlier page), and the image showed the characters trapped in his world. The Absolute Swamp Thing recolorist (left) just saw a bird.

β€œ All the world will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.”

Much like β€œCrash” and β€œGreen Book,” ain’t nobody gonna give a second thought or viewing to β€œOne Battle After Another” after Oscar night.

But much like β€œThe Color Purple,” β€œWhat’s Love Got To Do With It,” and β€œBlack Panther,” folks are gonna remember, recite, & revel in β€œSinners” for decades.

The day after we put the final touches on issues #88-91 of β€œSwamp Thing”, news broke about the passing of Tatjana Wood, the original colorist on the series. Tomorrow, March 2nd, would have been Tatjana’s 100th birthday. Let’s raise a glass to one of comics’ originals.

Hadn’t seen this one in years, just a fantastic little slasher with a real visual flair. All of the kill scenes are done so well and the killer has a great look.

Silk and Foxglove anthology, a BIPOC erotic eco-horror anthology, with a collaged artwork of a red circle, a dragonfly, and a sensual rear end!

Due to the sudden closure of the small press publishing our anthology, we're looking for a new home!

"Silk and Foxglove" is a BIPOC anthology of 13 stories of erotic-eco-horror! It's weird, gorgeous, evocative, & unnerving as hell!

Please boost! If any small presses are interested, let me know!

The NPR Star Wars and the comic books were my first introduction to Biggs Darklighter. That’s when I realized there was so much more story out there.

I love that big weird jellyfish cloud. When it unfurls itself I genuinely felt transported, it was so cool.

Forgot to post some of my new pickups for this week. I’m in a nice groove, all of the books I’m currently reading feel creatively fresh. I was a little worried Skinbreaker would be too cliche, but the last couple of issues have curved in a nice way.

DC has been running circles around Marvel creatively for a couple of years now. Even when Marvel comes out with something fresh or interesting, the expectation is that it will be cancelled as soon as another movie comes out.
