I used FOI laws to get hold of a NSW regulator’s review, which found the New South Wales's native logging industry is not "economically viable" and the state government should consider shutting it down after 2028 if its prospects don’t improve. Read more:

Black Beard Giant
Blackbeard was the largest mainland Mountain Ash (regnans) until wind ripped its crown off, quite literally. It now rates as the third biggest mainland tree. 🌳 I’m hopeful we can use an old logging track near it to showcase it’s magnificence and prevent future logging of its surrounds 🤞🏽
