Just announced: Iceland has urgently moved up its referendum to join the European Union - to 29 August.

A reminder: 🇮🇸 is in many ways already a non-voting 🇪🇺 member because of the EEA. This would give them voting power to shape the laws they have to follow.

The Covid inquiry are absolutely correct about Pandemic preparedness but the most crucial factor of that lies in them recommending mitigations for airborne transmission for COVID. So far there has been no interim statement, so it all feels very much like empty words.

really tired of conversations about how we need to get people to spend more time offline that don't acknowledge that one of the reasons people ARE online is their access needs aren't being met in physical spaces. This is especially true for queer people and disabled people.

We are being failed. We are being told the infection is mild but hey the long term risks to all are not mild!

Are we being told:

Catching Covid carries long term health risks to everyone lasting a long time?

No we are not!

Why not?

Are we being told it’s predominantly an airborne virus?

No we are not.

Are we being told it’s vascular?

No we are not.
