Itβs a year old, but I want to reinforce that I do not and will not use generative AI in any of my music or artwork.
Relying on AI is lazy and disingenuous as hell.

The very first song Iβve listened to of 2025 is Steely Danβs βBodhisattvaβ.
They express some top tier musicianship on this one.
Got new works coming your way for the New Year. I won't spill the beans just yet, but more details - and more music - will be out soon.
Whether or not you celebrate holidays this season, I hope you're all well. Hope you're having a good week or hanging in there.
Whatβs the LEAST important aspect of songwriting in your opinion?
Do you listen to your own music for enjoyment, whether it not you actively perform? Or do you care not to hear your own material unless youβre recording, rehearsing, or performing it?
Thank you very much Marklyn for your support and for your kind feedback! I'm glad you enjoy the material!
My latest work is a brand new mellow Piano piece,βFor my Loveβ.

Songwriting is different for everyone. The process is never one-size-fits-all. Sometimes a rhythm hits me first. Other times itβs a melody that creeps in before bedtime. Then thereβs those times where a riff or bass pattern grows in my thoughts and loops in my mind before recording it in the DAW.
Music comes and goes within me like the weather. Which is why I have multiple music projects in different genres.
The music I compose under Dunandunate is based on my inner moments of serenity, tranquility, wonder, and introspection within my life experiences.
Thank you for checking it out!
Change is one of the constants in the universe, within and without. For better or worse, it's a powerful source of inspiration and motivation.
Indeed, the element of human expression is what fills its purpose!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it!
All artwork that I use is either purchased through a website such as iStockphoto, Shutterstock, Stocksnap, or taken by myself on my phone or camera and edited/manipulated with programs such as Photoshop.
Although I use synthesizers and drum programming for my music, the music I compose is composed by myself. I also incorporate human elements within the beats that I use and perform many of the beats rather than simply copy-paste them.
Furthermore, I do not use AI in my music or my artwork.

Awesome! Leaving an open mind is a great way to approach it.
In this particular project, I'm inspired by nature, how different landscapes within the world visually influence me to write, and personal experiences within particular places I've visited and the people I was with at the time.
