In addition to monitoring the decay of teeth and fillings, around ten years ago a routine dental x-ray caught an undetected abscess that could have killed me within a couple of weeks.

I'd had a root canal in the affected tooth, so there was no pain to let me know something was wrong.

This is a really good piece. I don't agree with all of it by any means, but I think I agree with more than I disagree with, and certainly the proposed way forward (that liberals, socialists and greens should see each other as legitimate opponents and fascists as illegitimate ones) makes sense.

Agree that I hate this is still relevant.

Watching the Aloha show and once again fascinated by how people could look at this footage but not *see* what was happening to Elvis even years before his death.

I meant the costumes, mostly. The new skin tones for the human characters is welcome. I'm thinking of things like Triplicate Girl. Yes, she looks cool, no problem there, but what is her deal? I don't know this character anymore. Dream Girl is just sand? I know I don't like that as well!

I would like to put the Spirit, on those occasions when DC has his rights, on Earth-S. I could see the Spirit as the Batman to Captain Marvel's Superman.

I wonder if Earth-C is the same.

I dunno. I really liked Sook's art, but I was lukewarm on most of the costumes. Saturn Girl's was excellent, but the others were either no better than what they were replacing, or sufficiently different from what they were replacing that it would take a lot of work to get me used to them.
