Sonic Frontier's "WYVERN" over Ares Island, mouth held open as a fair few of its own missiles are shot back inside the poor thing. His body is blown up far, *far* further than it was during the in-game coup de grace, and lights leak from the utter sausage roll. All the way in the back, Sumo is flailing around and floating on high. Seems the cyloop stuck. Artist's Note: I think I tried uploading this before, but it was *right* when I was in the process of swapping from Twitter to Bluesky, and the lack of transparency disgusted me enough that I just shared Metal Overlord instead. NOW I'm used to it, and I can just share the HQ versions in the comments (which I have forgotten to do for so long goddamn), so As for the picture itself? Man, I haven't had a moment where I got to something, saw it, and was like "okay I need to draw this N O W", and the fact this is goddamn CANONICAL certainly didn't help matters. Granted, I didn't immediately draw it, I was too busy finishing Sonic Frontiers the exact same day it dropped, but when I did? ...okay, still took me some time to start, but that's besides the point.
