AIs really need something testable. Once you can get it into a spot to test something it can make super automated progress. Before that it might struggle.

How is Mamdaniβs answer to βthe state wonβt increase taxesβ, βscrew it, everyoneβs rent is going up!β π
Nice! Still has a ways to go and I'm somewhat worried they're gonna end up running out of runway when their crypto token (continues to) crater, but hopefully they get something great shipped before then or find other funding.
@free.law When I view the PACER docket for 2nd Appelate 25-2079 (Soroban v IRS) the docket doesn't get updated on courtlistener nor do entries get uploaded when I view them. RECAP 2.8.6 on on FF 140.7.0esr. Maybe cause the case was merged with another?
Anyone have any idea when/if @radicle.xyz will support having a simple web ui to allow contributors who don't want to use the CLI to at least open/comment on an issue? That (+moderation) seems like the biggest blocker to larger-scale adoption.
Boooooooooooooo
Hmm, but the below seems to claim the BlueSky default PDS more aggressively does PDS bans?
And sure, if youβre running a custom client itβs relatively easy to be more censorship-resistant, but Iβm more interested in the defaultsβ¦

You didnβt engage with my point in the slightest, you just attacked the original gist authorβ¦
> That's even how the bluesky PDS implement bsky.app bans!
Ah, is this new? I was under the impression bans were βhardβ on the infra level (they clearly are at the UI level, no?)
You entirely missed his point, then. PDSβs arenβt βspacesβ - the whole point is they just host data, you interact with people via higher level social media platform irrespective of the PDS someone is on.
Sure, not every PDS is going to be neutral, but AT wasnβt just designed with account portability, but also with bans-via-labelers as a model from day one. It seems the community (and esp the main Bluesky PDS) have doubled down on infra-level censorship instead.
Itβs really a shame how much this guy got flamed. The original design of BlueSky was entirely around neutral infra (that was the entire point of having βlabelersβ for moderation)! This community has lost its way, itβs quickly trending towards another Mastadon mess π’.

I love winter. My skin got dry enough that the it cracked in the fold of my toe. I now have a 1.5mm deep hole in my toe just because itβs cold outside.
Well thatβs a fun quote.

Youβd think itβd get easier after losing four grandparents but somehow the fifth is even worse.
βThe reason SPAs became the default wasnβt because they were better. It was because, for a while, they were the only way to deliver something that felt fluid β something that didnβt flash white between pages or jank the scroll position.β

Why donβt MRI rooms have metal detectors when you go in?
My iOS App is the problem :/
I donβt think so, at least for me it seems like time since login, but I certainly havenβt tracked it carefully.
Once a month? That sounds amazing.
The app logs me out randomly every 1-3 days or so. I usually don't bother logging back in for a week each time...
I remain rather perplexed by tariff coverage that just assumes blanket tariffs the president made up will stick. The only court ruling so far was rather scathing in saying βhell noβ (and it was a summary judgement on the merits, not a TRO or whatever).
Given this it seems somewhat surprising to me that the court saga isnβt at covered, instead coverage seems to just assume that whatever tariffs trump wants will stick.
Whatβs your take on the courts throwing out the tariffs? I know youβre an economist, but of the legal analysis Iβve seen folks seem to think the tariffs wonβt stick. The CIT already ruled (in a rather scathing opinion) that blanket tariffs arenβt allowed. The appellate court hearing is the 31st.
I mean the EU economy has barely grown since 2020. Meanwhile the US (mostly under Biden)β¦..
Why does bluesky insist on logging you out after a month? Do you want me to not use your app? Cause this is how you get me to not use your app.

When my wifeβs home: damn, this girl rolls around too much, keeps waking me up, I need my own bed to get some real sleep.
When my wifeβs traveling: what even is sleep? Is it even physically possible to sleep alone in a bed?
