Abdl and littles are both folks playing pretend around the themes of childhood; both pretending to be kids with other folk pretending to be kids. If you insist “we’re not like that” you lose solidarity with people who want the same things you do against people who would see you both suffer.

Look, you might make the distinction but it’s not a meaningful difference to the people coming for all of us; we all burn just as well. Both things still play with the same themes and both as still being played with by consenting adults.

If you’re part of any creative groups, unions or other organisations in the uk you should be passing news like this along and spreading the world. News like this gets has the chance to be overlooked but if enough organisations kick up a fuss things can change.

We gotta say no even when it doesn't affect us *personally* - because things deserve to be fair for all of us but if we let it slide, so much of this will continue to happen and expand until it affects all of us.

Honestly I've been thinking about how folks have given constant push back lately to Discord and they're walking back some things but we need to keep pressure on.

But I've also thought "people did not actually do this when it was *just* affecting British people" so we just had to fucking deal.

Its okay! I would not have talked about this if I did not want to. I've been mulling things over for a couple of weeks and I had a good night with friends and I felt, yeah. I should speak up. The world is rough and if we don't stand together, its going to get worse for us.

Ultimately I think its best to approach things with compassion and curiosity, to ask questions and be open to trust others when they speak on their feelings and experiences.

And, like, I and others have talked to folks in mental health who expressed this was also completely normal. I’ve known people who asked about the art as well and they felt it did no harm. Again, anecdotal but, like, I am more inclined to trust them over internet randos.

Also like, this is anecdotal but uh, like, 90% of the littles I’ve ever known are traumatised trans people, often looking for comfort And wouldn’t you know, this did include me back then.

the folks you think are weird have your back even if they don’t know that you’ll have theirs so maybe make it clear you will when it comes down to it. Like it or not, we all really are in this together and we have to stand with each other or fall alone.
