It's a great episode. Again, Cracked Ivory is excellent for people like me; bimbos who should know more about trans history and academia.

Fun fact, I'm definitely (but don't know how I'm) related to Nancy and my high school gf volunteered at MichFest every summer.
I wasn't out yet, but I definitely put out signs.

Today Talia, Emma, and @tpwrtrmnky.bsky.social have gathered to apologize for the lesbian sins they've committed before they were born: the politics of Michigan Women's Festival. Tune in to find out why time is a flat circle!
I have been listening to @taliabhatt.itch.io and @dolphindiaries.bsky.social 's wonderful Cracked Ivory podcast recently and I appreciate Talia repeatedly saying kinda random things I have believed for a while but never actually heard anyone else say.
Emma offhandedly mentions that force femme isn't real and I am here literally screaming at my computer that it is (I was really engaged, ok?) when Talia makes the hot take that all women are force feminized under patriarchy.
(Also, at least for trans femme people, castration is an extremely rudimentary form of gender affirming health care, and hence, not only are trans people extremely ancient, but so is medical transition! Of a sort. You can take my estrogen out of my cold dead hands though.)
If you like listening to me yap, consider checking out @crackedivorypod.bsky.social, the podcast I co-host with @dolphindiaries.bsky.social! We talk about academic texts good and bad, feminist discourses, and how we're evil radfem cultural marxists :3

I did DulhanImago!
They're very good books with wildly different genres but connected by trans lesbians. Please read them both!
P.S. they were both purchased by me months ago and on the tbr pile. Great excuse to read excellent lit fic!
Discussing two very different debut novels. One of them is a frequently melancholic exploration of a dystopian setting that hollows out the very souls of its people to prop up a brutal regime of exploitation and epistemicide, and the other one's "Imago".
New Patreon exclusive!
Talia and Emma discuss queer lit, online censorship, and each others' books, touching on the remarkable similarities in two pieces of lesbian fiction based on very different cultures and genres, but which still share many themes!

This is a fantastic interview that digs into patriarchal feminist retellings, reimagining a gender, and why everyone should be gay and erect
