Making art is hard! You will suck at it for a lot longer than you expect. If you really give it a try over the long haul you will improve.
I wonder how much of the current Art Discourse is missing the unsaid Capitalism Hellscape monetization part, instead of doing it because you like the making.
When you start to run, you won't be ready for a marathon in week 1.
When you start to cook, you won't have a from-scratch banquet on the table right away.
And when you start to pursue art, your work won't look like your teacher's. You won't be up for a Caldecott in 30 days or less.
