I see women talk about "privacy" a lot and what I hear is actually living life without community and frankly it makes me sad and it makes your life much harder than it has to be. Misogyny wants women to be alone. Misogyny absolutely benefits from women being alone.

We’re all just doing the best we can.

2/3 I really didn’t want to go through Amazon, but they were the only ones who had my mom’s medication in stock—and they were faster and cheaper than everyone else.

1/3 I ended up having to use Amazon’s pharmacy—not because I wanted to, but because my mother has been without her eye drops for two weeks. Between the two of us, we visited four pharmacies in person. The price has also doubled.

I haven't baked in a while for a variety of reasons. Ina Garten's chocolate pudding has been all over my timeline. I cut the recipe in half. I cut it in half, but there's still plenty. Mine was a little bit firmer, likely because I beat it a little too long, but it was delicious.

I've been sick for two weeks with a respiratory infection, thus my Thanksgiving cooking/baking reprieve. I'm an excellent baker and a solid cook in a family of people who are better cooks but not as good bakers. My brother is only going to give me this one holiday.

I sometimes miss a Monday, but I'm glad I went to Orangetheory on Monday night. Tuesday evening was a trainwreck in a first-world kind of way.
