Just returned from Miami University's Lilly Conference, and it was a fabulously informative three days! Much research to be done on accessibility, UDL, and an examination of Generative AI and marginalized communities.

Being 'one' in a department of many (what appear to be )able-bodied faculty is an isolating experience. Some of it is self-isolation. Some of it is accessibility-related. No one intends to offend or exclude. It just happens. Iβd love to hear other peopleβs strategies to cope. #disability
Ohhh I REALLY like that a lot! Would you mid of I ran it past our research team?
It's time to build a culture of support for faculty with disabilities, sharing tips, tools for teaching, modifications of the workplace environment, assistive devices, as well as sharing how to navigate the administrative processes to obtain support.

I'm working on a project to support interaction between faculty with disabilities, using a very broad interpretation of 'disability' that extends beyond the ADA definition. I really wish there was a better word than 'disability'. Maybe (dis)ability?
#disability, any thoughts?
