Yes still gonna need some feedback and work on both systems, what kind of speed control would you want in a Tower defense/RTS game?
When you thought you fixed a bug but adding a new mechanic tell you otherwise #gamedev #indiedev
Added some visual things, and a simple base capture system last week. Also tried a vertex painting shader but not a fan as of now, any tips?

Damn you combine it with a job, really impressive!
Still on the Unity 6 train ๐
Well if programming isn't your thing use an engine with visual scripting options, and just start making a game that uses lots of art! Just gotta start, what helped me the most was working on a game with someone else!
Yeah i just started going full tiem on game development and it's surprising what you can do in a week or day sometimes
Yeah and the last 10% of your game is the hardest bit of grind work
Yeah or reverting to a previous version and all of sudden it works, verrrry normal
Oooh I like the art style, non smooth geometry for low poly looks good!
Yeah same same, its never a 100% what you want exactly
Find the mistake (level impossible). #gamedev #indiedev
Finished with adding some more basics to the unit like target detection, shooting bullets and looking at the target. Also have been doing some heavy restructuring of the code for in the future. Slow progress but we're just getting started! #gamedev #indiedev
I can't wait ๐ to experience it
Pun intended
Quite the difference ๐๐
I will call help from my friend @ezraeyckerman.bsky.social
Personally i really like it!
I think this would be called an overkill issue
What exactly did you re-write about the grid system? I've found that a grid system is so simple, but can get very complicated very quickly
Finally ready to go full time into the indie dev dream! Expect to see more from us in the future!
Depends, discord is good for building a community, so it is better for higher frequency updates. A newsletter could be a nice overview with really the main updates or an overview of the past month. Using both seems nice.
I think it's quite common in gamedev, it's either too long ago and you are like huh? Or you come back the next day and see a better way to do something or that you wrote something that just isn't correct
What exactly is making you make this decision, the unfair pay, or unstable engine or?
You know sometimes you start working on something and you think it's gonna be boring. But then you start testing and it's so satisfying and fun or rewarding to see it work, even if only half of it works

Yes exactly that's what I meant, but good to see that the road system craziness is still going on
Hey nice to see you on here as well, almost thought you gave up!
I like the determination!
I'm definitely working on something. I can't show too much yet.
But will start posting prototyping stuff soon, hopefully
Went to my first game dev meetup today. Interesting experience, but worth it.
Have you guys ever been to one?
Thank you!
I see lots of projects and no time as well, I am guessing.
I'm new here ๐
What game development projects are you working on?
