Just spoke to the ASC. They haven't decided if they are going to postpone today's nomination announcement or not. They expect to reach a decision in the next hour

ASC Nominations will be posted at 11 AM PT on the ASC website instead of the traditional nominations livestream due to wildfires

I don't think we're prepared for the amount of public outrage that's about to occur when people discover that many insurance companies stopped covering fire damage in a the areas impacted by these fires, and that the state fund is nowhere near adequate to make up for the losses incurred. Horrifying.

Probably no makeup and VFX bake-offs either which means voters would vote for those noms based on memory and/or presentations they watch online
