Roof is common asphalt shingle. I was able to make contact this week. Problem was a setting in config.
Unhappy w my new attic 20m dipole. Diagonally, the attic isn’t quite long enough to pull the 1/2 wavelength wire tight in an inverted V. Was able to copy two PSK31 transmissions but not much else so far.
Starting to build my antennas with a great, simple 20m inverted V dipole in the attic (HOA). I could have made it but I hear good things about the seller. It will connect to Kenwood TS480. www.ebay.com/itm/38674076...

I have several Meshtastic node-contacts, but I don’t seem to be able to DM 99% of them without some sort of technical glitch. Is there a way to tell who is reachable immediately? Maybe the mesh isn’t dense enough where I am to support 3 hop delivery? Ideas?
