Bring a reusable dish to place leftovers in while dining out. If you’re dining out, consider bringing your own reusable containers to avoid using disposable foam, plastic, or paper containers. Even containers labeled “compostable” can contain fossil fuel-based plastic and chemicals.

Switch to a stainless steel or glass reusable water bottle.
Recent studies show that bottled water contains 10 to 100 times more microplastics than previously estimated.

Kick off the month by taking the Plastic Free July pledge and start collecting single-use plastic bags throughout the month to make a plastic bag monster (for use at rallies or other advocacy efforts) or all the single-use plastic you use for the month to make a 30-days of plastic suit.
Plastic Free July is an annual global movement encouraging people to reduce their reliance on single-use plastics. The initiative is a project of the Plastic Free Foundation, and aims to empower individuals to make positive changes in their daily lives and contribute to a cleaner environment.
