In video games, the story is being told either *to* the player or partially *by* the player, but it's pretty immutable in a lot of ways
In TTRPGs, there's a sense of the world being bigger than the PCs and their lives

I'm about to hit Diamond in SF6 and I'm realizing you can make it all the way up there by 1) knowing a single combo that ends in a super, and 2) anti-airing at least 1/3rd of the time you need to.
