It is a cloak to deploy troops

If he deploys troops he will do what he likes

It is the force he requires not any legislation- he doesn’t care what laws say

It is very quaint that people think laws will protect them against force

He is already acting outside laws domestically and internationally

I’m going to open my DMs for one week.
Please can you drop me a line if you have contracted any hospital acquired infection (at least you think it happened in hospital) in New South Wales.

Are you feeling confused today about whether or not it is OK to bomb a school or hospital that actually has kids and patients in them? Regardless of what race or religion of people those kids and vulnerable people belong to?

I can’t help you. Please unfollow and delete your account.

BREAKING: Minnesota AG Keith Ellison announces lawsuit against DHS, ICE and Border Patrol.

"We allege that the obvious targeting of Minnesota for our diversity, for our democracy and our differences of opinion with the federal government is a violation of the Constitution and of federal law."

U.S. Attacked Boat With Aircraft That Looked Like a Civilian Plane

Breaking NYT:

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

That is a war crime called "perfidy."

I remember very clearly talking to a medical scientist I know in early 2020 that 1) the vaccine development was not going to have ideal outcomes (any time soon) because coronaviruses are hard, 2) also just look at the situation with cats, and 3) just generally "yikes"

On days like today I just don’t understand why emergency services can’t cross post onto Bluesky

Surely it can be done

The forecast for Friday in Victoria is horrific with temps in places of 45-47 degrees and very high winds

Please check the predictions for your area and the surrounding areas

If in doubt, leave early

Saturday is not a great day for parts of NSW including Sydney

Libraries are air conditioned, free and often quite lovely. So councils kind already do... more choices would be good, but it's a start

Councils MUST develop proper cool zone plans. Safe spaces so people don't have to share tips like this about how to not die. (This is not hyperbole; people literally die in heatwaves). Underground stations can also get hella hot; we're asking people to choose how they suffer. 🥵

1. Sometimes, the absurdity of the situation we're all in just hits me. Going forward, ongoing and continuous transmission of SARS-CoV-2 will lead to an ever-increasing percentage of the global population developing chronic illnesses due to sequelae of infection.

In fairness… not testing because you might not like what you find is ever more deeply ingrained in medical culture.

Wild seeing statements from ER visit: physio tried to tell me that it’s typical for spinal fractures to cause ZERO pain at rest and get worse with movement, bumps etc.

I’m still regularly thinking “WTF?!” 24hrs later. Milder when still makes sense but zero pain?!

Is it seriously changing the behaviour of the teens you know? Our teen has exhibited literally zero change what so ever. We adults are more up in arms about the principle of the thing than the teen is impacted by it happening.

This is where I pray my one way masking kept me safe the 24hrs in ER, 4-5m away from a very unwell confirmed flu case.

Could be a group prize.

Ha yep. Also think its kinda weird how in the past we were just like "oh a load of people die of flu and hospitals struggle each year" and no one thought "could we like...not do this?"

Seek… seek medical help

27.12.2025 01:02 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Not unkind. But I have zero expectation of meaningful help and the exposure to all the infections is worrying. Nothing like an ER visit to reenforce one really should not seal medical help

More often than not, it’s not even actual rudeness.

It’s being loud (escalating), being insistent, challenging the plan, demanding attention. ->
