I have discovered that the lag you get in Paulownia Mall/Iwatodai Strip Mall in P3R if you're playing on Steamdeck is just the reflections. Turn those off and you can leave all other graphics settings on high.

Because I have had to freshly inform some folks of this fact recently, here is your reminder that Hobby Lobby should never be supported.
Also: Chik-fil-a and Nestle are particularly bad as well. (Anti-gay; water hoarding and child slavery)
If you saw an IGN article, this has updated information, BUT ALSO, first screenshot of the project I'm on atm :eyes:
All of this to say: I'm excited to be me and revisit the first time I got a glimpse of me, all the way back in 2008. Despite all the dread teenage me held in their gut, I'm somehow still here, and doing better than ever, and I've even gotten some of that drawing mojo back.
Happy Persona Day~
I socially transitioned in March of 2022 (if I'm remembering correctly), legally transitioned at the start of 2023, and had top surgery this past autumn.
I also finally managed to get P3 protag's hair... sort of (haha).
It took the pandemic to figure out that I'm a trans fella, & part of that process involved starting the development of a project I call Tarot Town (still in dev). One of its characters was the things I liked about P3 & P5, himself a trans guy. Thruhim, I found myself.
(2020 > the character > 2021)
My 18th birthday was a shock, & I was at a loss abt having to follow thru on my college plans. Once there, I went into a femme phase for a while, which slipped away a little at a time after college.
I went to school for writing, & mostly stopped drawing for 10 yrs
(Below: 2010 > 2015 > 2017 > 2019)
Therefore, I went hard on trying to *be* him. I also made my own version of him for my own narrative settings, pictured below in 2008 drawing on the left and 2022 sketch on the right.
"Pupcat Riley" is what I'd named the P3 protag (fave font + middle name).
Because of P3's themes & how I interpreted them (& support from my bestie), I got a second lease on life. I felt empowered, & I felt *weirdly* obsessed w P3's protag. Odd, since he was pretty much a blank slate.
I recognize now that I was experiencing gender euphoria for the first time ever.
P3R is out today, & Im v excited to play the remastered version of it, as the remastered version of myself.
I played the original in 2008, when I was 17 & didn't know I was trans yet. I planned to end my life that year.
Here's what happened after I played it (w/ protag ref.):
Listening to V is for Vagina on vinyl and it turns out thereβs a whole lot of slide whistle in Drunk With Power that iβve never noticed before
MARC & MARK SPOOKY EXTRA LIFE STREAM RETURNS! saturday night, ~9PM ET. watch us scare ourselves and raise money for Boston Children's Hospital, a wonderful place now much more important to me after my daughter's open heart surgery there this year. www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fu...
I've started buying DVDs and Bluerays again. No, really. Bought 3 last week. Happily, I've hung onto most of my box sets from before this streaming scam.
Same with music. Physical media is the way to go. We've all been suckered.
Layoffs cost exponentially more than they "save" on paper (they've done studies!). The brain drain and loss of morale cause even more people to leave, until all the creativity and expertise you actually built your business on is gone, and you start again from scratch. The people ARE the business
This is a v good watch: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rimt...
Something I love about the main feed here not being algorithmic and instead being chronological is when i need a short brain break, I can very reliably locate a picture of a cat without having to read 5000 bad takes to get there.
I took a break from the post-surgery compression vest for a bit and wore one of my squarish tanks bare chested, and it's the smuggest form of gender euphoria, I love it.
10/10 would recommend top surgery
Free game idea: A fighter that pits the capitalists villains are always based on, like Walt Disney and Howard Hughes, against each other. Winner gets to own every company in the world.
Which makes me wonder if there's a legal case to be made here that the state legislatures and (public) school boards blocking these titles are in violation of the First Amendment...
So if you read through this, what it basically amounts to is Scholastic stating they fuctionally can't sell books depicting queer folk or discussing racism in schools in certain states, and are using an optional rack of just those books as a means of making it possible to sell at all.
