Open letter about left turns on Valencia
We stand with our partners for safe streets to call on SFMTA to maintain the left turn restrictions on Valencia.
Reintroducing left turns, as the agency and Mayor Lurie are proposing, would undermine safety for people walking and biking without improving driving.

Headline from sf chronicle about the war on cars and people threatening city employees with violence
Headline about a person killed by a car on the great highway
A pedestrian was killed yesterday by a driver on the Great Highway, the 24th traffic death this year.
City employees are being threatened with violence when they try to prevent these deaths.
The violence is one way in SF, and headlines like this one aren’t helpful @sfchronicle.com
We make lots of rules about alerts in cars for safety.
It’s time for @usdot.bsky.social to require vehicles to alert drivers who are speeding too
