I feel the new cards drain too much attention and , in my opinion, are quite lazy designes sometimes. So much became execution and payoff in one card. Too much to read and comprehend. i dont mind cards being very strong - a lot of it is balanced by commander itself.
I am only playing commander sporadicly, but i feel my joy for the format fading. It became a lot like a euro board game, where i do my stuff and wait for others to tell me what happened to me. I enjoyed playing premodern commander with @budgetcommander.bsky.social.
@budgetcommander.bsky.social is such a wonderful voice for commander. Whenever i can play one of his decks, i feel the love and knowledge he puts into them. And his budget decks are soooo good.

I dont understand Rhystic Study being a good commander card at all. Would 3 mana - Your opponents cards cost one more to play - be good? I dont think really, all it does is make you the enemy. The only thing that makes the card “good” is the players not cooperating and adjusting.
