The problem is, I know enough people (including some who could legitimately be identified as being a parent of mine) who absolutely lap this gubbins up.

I genuinely think this shows there are two fundamental types of person. The first who would either not do this, or do this unthinkingly and then remedy it immediately. The second is the person who gets in a massive toot and blames everyone else but themselves.

I always hope I'm in the first group.
