I've seen that there are organised tours for tourists that take you to those areas, so you can visit and interact with locals, schools etc if ever you're in Kenya again for another holiday 🔆

Solo trip to India, especially the tiger safari 🐅

Great walk, did it without a guide last year, still managed to get talking to some other hikers along the way lol, definitely a top thing to do on the island. 🔆

The guided tour packages we sell at the concierge desk are often 3-4x the cost of booking directly with a local operator. We just pocket the difference. Most guests just don’t bother to look up tours or activities themselves.
