recording of the stream: youtu.be/MmN6_Vxrcis?...
I want to thank everyone (16ish people?!) from my discord and stream chat who joined me for halloween VRChat exploration last night! I was honestly feeling pretty sad about not being able to do many autumn/spooky things this year, so everyone showing up meant a lot to me
I've been streaming VRChat world exploration with my new self made avatar, and custom OBS scenes. I'm feeling good with how they've been turning out! It's been great seeing new viewers around too. Here's the most recent vod if anyone's interested: www.youtube.com/live/y4mQWDh...
To clarify, I'm not connected to this event in any way! That's not me in the photo. If I happened to be in NYC, I would definitely go see it though
In a strange turn of events, there's a play happening this week in NYC named "The Monotonist". I've used this name for over 15 years, and for the first time I'll be sharing google search results. I hope it's good! I really like their poster designs newyorktheaterfestival.com/the-monotoni...
Here is my new likeness! He was concepted, modeled, textured, and rigged by me from scratch in Blender and Substance Painter. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I plan on using it in near-future VRChat streams. The lovely world behind me is named Pillars, by FreewillPack76
It's so great to see Loscil's music recognized! I got to see him perform live once, one of the best ambient music shows I've ever been to
Hey! I was really impressed with your depiction of morse code. It's rare to see anyone program a somewhat realistic portrayal of it. Very clever integration of it with the stealth mechanics as well
a big thank you to @boneypunch.bsky.social for including me in this collection!
Is that a butt with ears and a mouth?
This is a great collection, thanks for putting it together! Some day I hope to be established enough to make it into one
As a kid I was deathly afraid of the tentacle monsters in that god forsaken sewer level, and never managed to beat the game for that reason. The framerate dipping down below 10 fps in parts sure didn't help either
Ok the starter pack is finally full so if you followed some of these cool retro Devs/Artists before now there a more! There's a nice variety from Boomer Shooters to Platformers to Point and Click Adventures and more.

oh yeah that's definitely the issue where you need to press the keypad period button to reset the camera focus, which resets the zoom
There's a couple things that could be happening. One is that if you push the period key on the keypad while something is selected, it will refocus the camera and restore your zoom. Other is to be aware that one grid square is 1 meter at the default zoom level
what about Rocksteady's?
I agree :)
thanks!
I'm going to start doing that aspiring game dev art thing and posting short looping clips of things that I make. Soooo here's the moth character from my recent animation!
To all the newcomers to Bluesky: it's a really good idea to post at least once, and fill out your profile explaining who you are and what you do BEFORE following lots of accounts. You'll miss out on a lot of follow backs if people see your notification and know nothing about you
the t-pose becomes a w-pose
I believe one of the Blender 4.0 versions adds the Face Project snapping feature too, which makes retopo a lot easier for sculptors
your blender muscles must be incredibly toned by now
thanks!
Youtube and bluesky really destroy the dithering effects, so it's best to view at full screen on 1080. Here's various still shots of the scene:
Here's my (late) birthday gift to @coolmoths.bsky.social ! Everything modeled and animated by me, except for low poly viral sensation Pepsi the cat, made by moths. This is my first time animating, so this was all a tremendous learning experience youtu.be/GJDvhXQ0CoU?...
I did recently begin a contract remote 3d modeling job, so things are slowly coming back together. I went on one last bike ride around town to enjoy my favorite time of year while there's still time. I will sorely miss this view from my apartment.
Due to 'life reasons', I decided to move out of Minneapolis. It was the home of my independent adult life for the last 13 years, so it was a very tough choice. I'll still be in Minnesota as I pull myself back together, but this city will always be my special place.
I really enjoyed the collection you put together! I'm a long time fan of things like analog radio anomalies and such
