Ridgeline chart showing the distribution of global daily air temperature differences from the pre-industrial reference period (1850-1900), for every year between 1940 and 2024. Each individual year resembles a hill, shaded in a darker shade of red and further to the right for warmer years. The trend is clearly towards warmer years, with 2024 standing out as first year above 1.5C.
NEW: 2024 has just been confirmed as the warmest year on record, and the first to breach the 1.5C threshold.
We used a ridgeline (Joy Division inspired) chart to visualise daily temperature anomalies since 1940.
2024 clearly stands out with 100% of its days above 1.3C and 75% above 1.5C.
We really, really need the bookmark option @bsky.app . Please make it a priority 🙏🏼
As a PR pro, we used to tell people to get ahead of various online controversies by making statements that refute them. It turns out this is the absolute worst way to respond to criticism or correct errors of any kind. Social media has made this worse. When you respond, it kick-starts issues again.

No problem! But again, I wouldn't be surprised that there still are some publishers operating their own component auctions in order to keep some level of control over bids from buyers in a PAAPI context 🙂
One of the specific aspects of PAAPI is that it formalises the fact that the auction must have a publisher, a seller and a buyer.
In that "direct" case, it forces either the publisher or buyer to act as (component) seller, and so pubs want to be seller notably for filtering capabilities
Happy to!
I guess pubs want to leverage all available solutions with all their direct partners, whether SSP or DSP?
And when they have direct connections to DSPs, no reason why they wouldn't keep using them within PAAPI environment?
Why do you find surprising that pubs use their domain as comp seller? To me it just indicates that they have a direct integration to buyers (which is fairly common), and hence they can act as comp seller to access these Demand partners, while their SSP partners can operate comp auctions in parallel?
Definitely not more than a third. People who believe it's more than that might not know this graph 🙃
But is it even an issue? You can understand certain parts (really) well and stick to it, still doing a good job?

Je vais tourner cette supercherie en cas pédagogique.
