anyway, enough crazy talk from me, I'm gonna get back and keep pushing through it. i've been in EP land for so long and want to try making something bigger next year once I've got time and space to do it :)
at the same time, i feel incredibly fortunate that anyone cares about my stuff. I really just wanted to make stuff I thought was cool and it's awesome that other people like it. I hope to keep creating stuff that feels authentic to me forever and ever and ever.
the more i think about what matters to me in electronic music, the more i don't even want to bother with doing the media stuff, and i don't really tour so i'm not beholden to consistently release, but when you bring other people into the equation, it becomes harder to have that kind of autonomy.
I get really sad going on most of the apps these days and try to avoid it as best as someone with a very addictive personality can, and frankly im sad as fuck in general for a lot of other reasons, so music used to be the best coping mechanism, but as i've struggled to create, it's not been great.
the funny part is that, including bastard material, I've actually released 12 or so songs, which is tied for the most I've ever put out in a 12 month period
no one really see's my posts on here, (kind of exciting tbh so it's a good place to kind of journal)
Been a terribly slow creative year for me. I've made maybe 5-6 songs this year, all of which I'm gonna try to put out as EP's along with some other older songs from the past 2-3 years that I love.

Makes me rly wonder what it's like to hear his stuff without the context behind it, but regardless, i'm grateful that I can glean what I feel from his music. beating a dead horse in saying he's a genius but i truly cannot think of another artist who's music means more to me :')
RE: Burial - Comafields / Imaginary Festival
Burial always captures the 'art' in the vast sea of 'entertainment' within electronic music, building the former as reference/reverence towards the latter. perhaps that's why his stuff is sounds so timeless.
