A reminder that Martin Green is not the rule maker, just the messenger boy. And as statements go, it was pretty light on tone. Essentially "we're aware and had a word" as opposed to "we strongly condemn...".
Going by the thumbnail I was expecting them both to dislike it, but they actually rather enjoyed it. So that's alright then. 😆

🇩🇪 is bland & basic, so yeah, meh. 🇨🇵 feels formulaic but it's still a powerful song. Will do well but won't get that win they so crave. 🇮🇹 I find so wholesome & charming! 🇬🇧 can see why some don't like it - it's utter marmite!
🇲🇩 This will get the arena going, and it's very easy to pick up and get swept away in it all. At first I thought this is sure to pick up a sizable televote, but a couple of months on I do wonder how the rest of Europe will react to what is essentially a stroke of the national ego. Still great though.

In the run up to #Eurovision 2025, you may recall a campaign to drastically cut the licence fee which funds the Swiss broadcaster was rumbling away in the background. A referendum has been held on the matter and it's projected the 'No' side won 62% of the votes.

If a complaint is made and the EBU uphold it, at most they will probably just send the delegations a private memo or something. Very much doubt they'll come out publicly all guns blazing. As you say, would just do more harm than good.
They were short, and presumably one-off, statements expressing a personal opinion. They're all still going to Eurovision and getting on with the job at hand.
Euromix are reporting Kan are going to make a formal complaint. Interestingly neither Yle nor EBU said a thing after Linda & Pete's statement. I support the idea of keeping Eurovision a space where political debates are minimised as much as reasonably possible, but I see no issue here.
Yeah it's a nice song but doesn't really go anywhere, nor have a discernible hook. Hope they try again with something stronger.

🇲🇪 Preferred the original, but changes are minimal and I'll get used to it soon enough. I love the sisterhood vibe they have in the performance. This song absolutely slaps and if it doesn't get Montenegro back into the final for the first time in over a decade I will not be a happy bunny.
