Descriptive text reads:
-Obstacles scroll along like a scrolling shmup map, matching the tempo of the music
-Drag-and-Flick Puck around obstacles
-Puck moves like an air-hockey puck, with some inertia
-Red obstacles deal damage and greatly reduces speed if touched at all
-Crosses (X) deal damage only if Pen drags Puck over it - Fling Puck over crosses to maintain health
-Boss battles can involve basic bullet-hell, while rhythm segments rely on dragging Puck consistently through obstacles as the screen scrolls

[[Puck is labelled for a circle icon, and Pen is labelled for a Pen icon. On the left is a diagram showing Puck being flicked by Pen through X-es and across various red obstacles, ricocheting against a wall and being held in place at the end by Pen.]]

Victor and Vance, a gay emo Falco and a gay emo Fox McCloud, fight on a 2D battlefield. Victor is hovering in the air with jet-boots, holding his guitar. Vance is just out of the "camera's" view, standing off-screen with his buster keytar sword. Various illustrations show how a hypothetical "pen-fighter" game works. The battlefield contains a a smaller "range" visible to the camera, from which players can input attacks and see a visible character. [Actual battlefield range] vs [Visible field on your screen]

I'll copy-paste the rest of the text and put the rest in the next image as a closeup when I hit the character limit. I hope this fits...
Text:
[Touching the screen
allows you to draw
active hitboxes, and
input other effects.]
[After drawing,
there is a brief
cooldown.]
[Lines can be drawn up
until a certain length.
Attacks drawn shorter
and closer to the player
have faster cooldowns than
attacks made at the edge
of the Range.]
[e.g.
Can draw up to six
units of "length"
before running out,
causing a cooldown.]
[Active line-attacks "clank"
with enemy lines, and can be
used to guard against attacks
if anticipated, like a parry.]
[WASD allows for movement.
Some characters fly freely,
some just Jump with W and
ground-pound with S]
*[Hold SPACE and draw to EVADE:
slash over the character
to dodge in the slashed direction.
Some characters can tap instead
to teleport to the tapped spot.]
[Drawing lines and shapes
opens-up access to many
techniques unique to
each character.]
[For Victor, slashing creates laser beams
that carry on and shoot off from the last
direction drawn. "Osu-tapping" allows you to shoot
hitscan, Duck-Hunt-style shots at anything on-screen.
Taps nearby are instant, while taps further away have
an "incoming osu"-like delay before firing.]
[Victor is a ranged fighter,
but he's meant to be decent
all-around between long and
short ranges.]
[Camera settles on player
with 2/3rds of negative
space in the direction
the player is facing]

Continuation of previous alt-text:
[Vance plays like Victor,
except his Tap Attacks
have a longer cooldown,
while Line Attacks near
his body have way less
cooldown. Evaded attacks
give him i-frames and
reduced cooldowns,
favoring an aggressive
close-range swordfighting
approach, cleaving through
incoming shots.]
[Off-screen player
has smash-styled
preview marker
to track location]
[Slick the Skater-dog
has no ranged attacks,
but can draw rails and
platforms to ride
along at high speed,
dealing impact damage.
Think Line-Rider or
Canvas Curse Kirby.]
[Using the *Evasion input
will grant only two i-frames,
but also causes her to transfer all
momentum into the direction
slashed at no loss of inertia.]
[Verbatim the Anti-Virus can
draw constructs to aid him. He can
use "Config Gauge" to be invulnerable
for ten seconds to compile more complex
constructs to be stored in cache
for rapid-fire summoning and execution.]
[[diagrams showing drawn shapes that become a Blockade, Turret, and Heavy Vulcan]]
[Verbatim can also use
Evasion taps to teleport anywhere
within range, with no cooldown
for teleporting to anywhere
immediately near him.]
[Characters automatically
face whichever direction
the tablet pen is
hovering over - if you
played Nuclear Throne with
a tablet pen, it's like that]
[Alternatively, camera is fixed,
and the field in which you can
draw in is defined as a box around
the character instead. Not sure.
Maybe workshop later, there's a
lot of ways this can go wrong and
become annoying to play.]
[[This closeup depicts text that reads:]]
[The core idea overall is to have
a messy, chaotic battle system that
can have a surprising amount of
depth to it, while adding the unique
effort that comes in manual, drawn input.]
[[Drawing depicts Slick being controlled by Player 1, and P2 controlling Verbatim, who has teleported to hide behind a constructed wall while a turret he built fires at Slick. The word "EVADED" is written as he just used an Evasion input to do escape.]]

i made the complicated Pen Fighter game idea first and then made Puck n' Pen to cool my brain down a little with something more intuitive

Reminder that the only time Mastercard has flinched is when outrage was directed at them. Attacking platforms like SubscribeStar for Visa/Mastercard's extralegal censorship is exactly the deflection they want.

The whole point of defending the right for uncomfortable, or even reprehensible fiction to have the right to exist isnt that its all cool and nothing is ever wrong with it

Its that government/corpo organizations will NEVER look at things with the """nuance""" you think is so self evident
