Anyway, I googled crypto mining, read all about it and still dont understand it even a little, but I do picture Minecraft now whenever I think of bitcoin.
I just watched a video of a couple in MN who live close to a crypto mine?? These are real places??And apparently it is very loud to live near?? I pictured everything crypto happening in a quiet computer lab- maybe some minor keyboard clacking?
I *thought* it would just push more heat toward the open vents, but apparently what it actually does is builds up pressure and then potentially creates leaks in your ductwork/ makes your furnace work harder.
For context, it is always freezing on the main floor, but a blazing inferno upstairs in our bedrooms, so I had closed our vents for easier sleeping. Looks like blazing inferno, it is.
Tonight’s adventures in insomnia: reading that you should actually never close heating vents in your home, and then reopening all closed vents at 3am…
