I've done door knocks for the Greens.
One thing the people I have spoken to can agree on is that Coles and Woolies are bad and need to sorted out by the government.
You canβt afford to put food on the table while Coles & Woolies use fake discount claims to rake in mega profits.
Two weeks ago Labor, the Liberals & One Nation all voted against the Greens Bill to make price gouging illegal.
Still think theyβre fighting for you?
I know someone who was with them briefly. He ditched them straight away.
The DSS website tells you to contact the National Customer Service Line.
There have been numerous problems with the transition, as was expected and warned about.

Because feelings?
I have addiction-loop brain at the moment, brought on by lack of sleep. Is this a common thing?
My brain could do with some rewiring, if you know a technician who could help...
"End the Partner Income Test.
Equality should not stop at the poverty line.
We demand dignity, not dependency.
We will not be silent."
A grassroots campaign is gathering stories of the personal effect of this govt policy.

The website has given the campaign a massive boost. We're trying to reimburse the DSP recipient who covered the costs of creating it - $1500+.
If you know anyone who has a few extra bucks lying around, send them this GoFundMe.

People are sending in their stories about the Partner Income Test. What happens when Centrelink cuts off your income for being in a relationship?
Horrible things actually. These stories prove it.

Dearest gentle reader, The social season is upon us, and so, perhaps one finds themselves amidst change. Whether you've recently begun promenading the ton with your new match, or you find yourself once more unshackled from courtly pursuits, one must remember to make their relationship status known. A moment tending to myGov to make your relationship known is most beneficial to ensuring your payments and services remain in good order.
The partner income test traps people in abusive relationships and dangerous households, and the Department is out here doing bad Bridgerton jokes about it

But until that is done, a citizens assembly could show when politicians are serving elite interests rather than the public good.
Examples are climate change policy, parliamentary expenses entitlements and gambling.
I'm not sure what point your making regarding electoral mandate.
A review body wouldn't need to be elected, but people could be selected by lot.
The problem is that current electoral politics favours out of touch elites dominating politics. Fixing that should be the priority.
A citizens assembly doesn't fix everything by itself.
The idea is the people are drawn from everyday life rather the privileged elite of MP's. It would have a review function, so it would become clearer if policy is not serving the public good or is not based properly on the available evidence.
Well, I guess that's it for now.
See you in a week?
It's been a week of putting digital wellbeing controls on my phone.
They've worked so far.
I've done so much more reading and been more productive. I also have extra energy.
Still, I'm having a fatigue flare so I decided to get some scrolling "comfort food" for a few minutes haha.
Blog for End Partner Income Testing campaign is live.
Website is not far off.

Last night I rested my head from brain fog, closing my eyes.
Next thing I knew I was waking up at 4AM.
It was as if I had passed out.
Strange!
We've made an agreement among coworkers to start a book club.
We wear workers clothes and high vis vests, so this will be a blue-collar one.
Another coworker wants to start social events like barbecues.
Cat had princess play time and princess brushing time.
She was very vocal and expressive about these obligations to her.
Satisfied, she has taken herself off to bed and curled up in a ball.
Cat life has strict demands, but also quiet time.
I've installed two "digital wellbeing" apps on my phone: Onesec and Digital Detox.
They create much more friction with its addictive features. As a result, my phone usage plummeted today.
Who knows? Maybe 2026 I'll be "chronically offline".
I desperately need this for my attention and EF.
First one.
