The utterance of "A.I.'s inevitability" is one of the most stark pure performatives I've seen in my time working in higher ed. Every time it is uttered, it is clearly not reporting a fact about the world but instead actively trying to create the reality it narrates. We can and must refuse.

Lots of characters I love, but I don’t really aspire to do runs on big, corporate owned characters anymore. Not to say I wouldn’t (work is work), but there’s so much that goes into those jobs that you can’t control and the structure and schedule can really destroy your life and your body.

I got much better when I started embracing inspiration from peers, rather than competition.

I think imitating or chasing heroes when you’re learning is very normal and helpful. I just think we all need to recognize a point where we stop striving for somebody else’s aesthetic or even their career and recognize that we all have things to offer.

The fact that this creature is still publicly using the word “children”…blows the mind.

I hope you got to a point though where you realized they draw one way and you draw one way, and both are great, and we’re all just getting the ideas out of our heads, however they come out.

Disagree slightly with the “don’t show it” part (I say show that shit!), but yeah. There’s nothing really useful in comparison or competition. It’s not sports. Find inspiration, apply, create, repeat.
