This. The narratives or arguments that separate out “criminal” from “innocent” immigrants (this includes when media and politicians emphasize stories of “perfect victims”) are bad—it implies that some people are actually deserving of criminalization and deportation, of cruelty and violence.
Paxton wants privacy during his divorce. I needed a good laugh! Where is that energy for people seeking abortion care? Where is that energy for abortion funds? Where is that energy for people seeking abortion care while Paxton encourages abusive partners to report them??
