Indeed! Great bands both. Also check out Τέλμα-Aνθρωποβόρος if you want, where V. is singing in an epic doom metal style. Another great record imho from the Greek metal underground

If the US enshrined my rights as a trans person tomorrow and marginalization I face disappeared, Id still be out here saying burn it to the ground
No one is free until everyone is free
If a single person has to die for my petty American life, then the system that provides it must die instead
"The Islamists oppose women getting an education," I mutter, as I aim my missile at the girls school
No country should be allowed to own nukes, and the biggest problem are the countries that own the most. If you live in a country that does, you should understand your country is dangerous and a possible contributor to the world's demise. Join or start a campaign for total nuclear disarmament.
let yourself go, these are not times to be silent
A photograph of smoke rising over Tehran, Iran.
The Israeli and US attack on Iran is morally repugnant. It is calculated only to benefit an elite of racist, Islamophobic warmongers. It will not benefit Iranians or ordinary people anywhere on earth.
We must build the grassroots capacity to interrupt the war machine or things will only get darker.
All nation-states are degrees of bad, the majority of countries are run by right wing to fascist capitalists, in this world of bullies the worst bully is the most powerful bully. And that's the USA.
"Years ago, we tore up a nuclear peace deal w/Iran.
Months ago, we bombed Iran
& "obliterated" their nuke capabilities.
And now, we might just have to go to war with Iran
bc of their nuke capabilities."
-the ppl who tore up the nuclear peace deal w/Iran
"Any military or imperial intervention can only weaken the struggle from below and strengthen the Islamic Republic’s hand to carry out repression."
There are genuine grassroots movements resisting the Iranian government.
They do not want Donald Trump to attack Iran.
Listen to their voices.
Another piece that sounds better every time I return to it. Music that never fails to fill me with hope and wonder. Crazy to think that so many excellent modern classical composers like Judd Greenstein are almost completely unknown except in their specific niche

Know most of these people about two decades now, we were posting our first projects in old metal forums, etc. It's so great to finally see them do something bigger and get attention
Glorious album
Also solidarity shouldn't be antagonistic to political organizing and vice versa. We need both, turns out anyway we do both best when they are parallel, and sometimes even together. There's no better way to build anarchism, communism, socialism at a time when people are at their most isolated.
Whether regarding refugees, migrants, queer, homeless, detained people or workers, there's always a structure, a collective or open assembly near you with good enough politics. And if it doesn't exist, you and two good friends or comrades is a good enough start and you can always do some stuff.
It should be a given that everyone having autonomy/independence and some free time should participate at solidarity structures imho. People think of it as something demanding, but one afternoon after work and a few hours from your weekend is enough. It becomes a way of life - you will give AND take.
Great band, great people, totally recommended!
Oh cool thanks! Will check it out tonight
Nah your stuff just rocks! And still many albums to get into
One of my fave ds releases of the last years, percussion-heavy, proggy, perfect meeting point between fantasy synth and "gamey" music. Someone hire @sylfvr.art for a game soundtrack

Yeah, I'm afraid the rise in anti-migrant hate is happening all over Europe as it seems. I've been reading news from the UK, it's the same image exactly. They're definitely not bots in Greece, I can tell that I think.
The majority of people are numbed down and accept the possibility that a literal coming of fascism might be close. Even a movement like anti-ICE seems a far away possibility - the anti-racist movement is always trying, but mostly resorts to peaceful and quiet demonstrations. Things are grim.
To understand how bad things are evolving in Greece, almost all articles by leftist media speaking about the recent murder of 15 refugees near Chios by coastal guards are drowned by laugh reactions, racist hate comments and "congrats to the police". I've never seen this to such a degree ever.
The vast majority of Greeks in social media where the news are posted are hailing and justifying the murders, literally congratulating the police btw
15 more refugees killed by the Greek coastal guard near Chios. Be 100% sure that what they'll say about it will be total lies like in Pylos (they already say the boat "attacked them") and a cover-up will happen. Murderers and nazis.
I'm not often awe-struck by music anymore; I've only been returning to "Throughline" once or twice per year since I first listened to it, but my admiration for it each time increased manyfold. Truly special music.

woah, thanks Ron for another time!
Thank you so much wow!! I'm really very happy that my stuff can help more creativity. Where can I check out your writing?
I don't really follow the death metal scene so I didn't know about him until I saw a recent video in YT about his conduct in the band. Of course there were more
Nice recommendations, Snowspire was one of the few Evergreen projects I wasn't yet aware about. Will check out the other two as well.
Just did a Patreon page for my music projects. Definitely feels a lot weird, I'm not going to lie, as I've never done anything like that before. But I guess it'll give me a good push to open up and share more about my music, process and thoughts generally.
