Stat from Media Reform Coalition 2025 report
If three companies (DMG Media, News UK & Reach) shape 90% of UK national newspaper circulation, what could a coordinated campaign do for transport policy support?

Et tu, Brute?
Thanks for the info, v helpful. "Unique to Prolific, Authenticity checks use Prolificβs proprietary machine learning model to detect and flag AI-misuse with 98.7% precision" - will you test this using the AI in the link above?
"restricted to the fast, fit and fearless" what a raw line
What checks are currently in place for AI use on the platform, @joinprolific.bsky.social ? And do you have a plan for how this will be handled going forward? Given the pace of developments, it would be prudent to have a proactive strategy, not reactive. #survey #research
21% of UK employees are commuting more this year and "40% of drivers have no alternative to the car [...] For those living in rural locations the figure increases to 70%."
Only a third said the bus was a viable option for them. Not good news for people & planet :( #commuting #carDependency
Thanks for highlighting this overlooked source of emissions. It makes me wonder - what behaviours could dog ownership be substituting? With the speculated link between low fertility rates and rising pet ownership, the carbon cost of a pet still seems lower than that of having a child
London-based study finds "most near misses happen on roads without cycling infrastructure - junctions are particularly hazardous"
This is why our activists tirelessly call for safe cycle infra in every London borough π

It was fantastic to see CAST's Bella Zanin & Jesse Wise running some insightful roundtables at the #SportPositive25 Summit earlier this month on the topic of sustainable sports apparel, with lots of excitement about where we need to get to. π½π

My pleasure and thank you for the inspiration. Likewise :)
Great to see this issue! Years ago your Yawning at the Apocalypse article by @cameronbrick.bsky.social & @profsanderlinden.bsky.social was pivotal for me in my gap year - it confirmed my suspicions that env. psych. was the right path for me. I hope this issues inspires others in a similar position
This could not be better timing for my R workshop today (incl. how good practice can contribute to FAIR principles) with @entsresearchgroup.bsky.social ! I shall share with the lab group.

New study from Melbourne finds reducing residential speed limits from 50km/h to 30 km/h on local roads would protect cyclists from danger, make riding less stressful and get more people cycling while not causing traffic delays for cars.
Fantastic resource. The UK is a nation of #nature lovers. We need to make sure our public transport can give good access to the countryside if #car-free living is ever to become truly popular

I can only hope that it will have the impact it deserve
