Congratulations, Nathan!!! Cannot wait to read this.
We are in the courts each week. Visit www.newsanctuarynsc.org to get involved.
On Tuesday, our members witnessed ICE and FBI agents kidnapping a man in front of his family after his immigration hearing at 290 Broadway. His case had NOT been dismissed by the immigration judge, and he was instructed that he would have time to gather evidence to support his case.
Thanks man!

βMonster soupββ¦perhaps a better title for the dirty water campaign.
404 has the details. But in a number of interviews w those who've interacted with the Musk gizmocrats, AI and integrating government systems with AI comes up repeatedly. This isn't surprising in itself. AI is big in all tech now. But fits with what is described here.
For @publicbooks.bsky.social, I reviewed Elizabeth Anker's fascinating & extremely ambitious "On Paradox," which critiques almost the whole theoretical connection between politics and aesthetics (and then rebuilds a little). Books should take big swings! www.publicbooks.org/beyond-the-d...
if there were reporting
"What started Thursday as a political purge of the internal security services accelerated Friday into a full-blown coup."
Join us Thursday, Jan. 30, for an urgent town hall for our members on immigration and the threat of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in schools and hospitals. We'll be discussing Trump's mass deportation agenda & its harmful consequences.

JP Morganβs report of 2020 warns of the desperate urgency of climate action:"[delay] opens us up to potentially catastrophic outcomes, which might be impossible to reverse.β It beggars belief that they now backpedal on net zero promises. They have sold their childrenβs future for a mess of potage.
Dude this is so fucking bleak; I know Iβm naive but I still genuinely cannot believe we have people in the humanities normalizing this stuff
Thank you!
Thank you so much! π±

Campaigners from the Weald Action Group outside the Supreme Court celebrating their historic judgment in June 2024.
*Cringe* I have started a blog. Thanks @ruthtingay.bsky.social for the encouragement.
The first post looks back at my landmark Supreme Court win last June and the ripple effects it's still having.
Please read it or not as you choose! sarahfinch.co.uk
Another release of the day is "Deviant Matter" by @kwazana.bsky.social. Rot, jelly, ferment, and intoxication challenge us to think about resistance, race, and queer life across scalesβfrom the molecular to the political.
A must-read for anyone curious about how matter shapes power.
Awesomeβtwo other OL books I loved were Container (by Craig Martin) and Blackface (by Ayanna Thompson). Both really excellent if you have time down the road π
Thanks Michael! Let me know if you decide to check it out :)
My book OIL is out now in Bloomsburyβs Object Lessons series! Sharing a few images belowβbig thanks to everyone who helped bring it to life πΏ
