I mean this was a strong contender.

Software dev, bad puns, lots of random topics. Dog dad which qualifies for dad jokes. Multiplayer tech at Ubisoft. Opinions are mine but help yourselves, I have many left. He/Him/The Mildly Surprising Shrimp-Man.

Adieu ? Non non non tu as pas compris.
Happy Slay the Spire II (Early Access) release to those who celebrate.
(I do.
It's a holy week for me.
Actual Second Coming level of celebration.)
If folks are curious, I curated a list of narrative tools for games here a while ago litotic.com/ndwiki/doku....
many of them are free or have trial versions
many game studios use custom tools
(it's not the most up to date, but can give you pointers, depending on what you're trying to do)
It's a tough one. In general, I'd say it is fine, because typically it "scales down" with brackets, you expect more non-basic, fancy lands in higher brackets.
BUT, weirdly enough, some of the decks the most punished by this are... precons, which tend to have absurd amounts of non-basic.
For Ubisoft, delivering seamless multiplayer experiences to a global player base is an infrastructure challenge of massive scale. It requires managing thousands of game servers with a global footprint and absolute resilience. Join us to see how Ubisoft solves this by leveraging Agones, the open-source game server scaling engine on Kubernetes. We will dive into the real-world use case and production data behind Ubisoft's fleets, demonstrating why they bet on cloud-native tech. Along the way, weβll trace Agones' evolution from its origins at Google to its current home in the CNCFβshowing how a community-driven standard is now powering the biggest names in the industry.
With Agones moving to @cncf.io, I'm excited to be keynoting Kubecon EU with Jean-FranΓ§ois Hubert, Development Director at Ubisoft (albeit for 3 minutes, But it'll be fun I promise! π)
We're doing a runthrough of how Ubisoft orchestrates multiplayer games with Agones!

Anyone who knows me is either going to see a LOT more of me, or not hear from me until 2030 at best.
"4 Gales" sounds like a hysterical pitch, going all the way and having all players play Gale _specifically_.
I had a great time at our internal Ubisoft Developer Conference. Among all of the current difficulties, the enthusiasm and talent was a great morale boost.
I just wish I had been able to take a few days off to visit MalmΓΆ (and Copenhagen) a bit more, the city seemed lovely too.
The interaction is breaking my brain, do multiple Timesifters actually do anything ? During the 1st extra turn, new Timesifter proc, which will decide whose turn is next anyways.
Oh damn. OK, you do need to keep track of the stack of extra turns in case all Timesifters get destroyed, THAT is evil.

I'm a bit biased from having played TH4 with its original release and only discovering TH3 much later.
